Creating a multi-step manufacturing schedule

What is a Manufacturing Schedule?

A Manufacturing Schedule is a list of steps that an item will pass through during manufacturing, along with a deadline for each task.

For example, when fabricating an e.Max crown, you might want "Model" to be completed by Day 1 (tomorrow), and "Die Trim" and "QC Model" to both be completed by Day 2 (day after tomorrow).  You can schedule multiple tasks to be due on the same day.

You may create as many schedules as you want, and each schedule can be linked to multiple items (ie, all PFMs can share a schedule). Multiple items can also be linked to the same schedule.

You will have the ability to choose which schedule you want the item to follow at case entry.

The tasks, deadlines, and assigned technicians (optional) will print on the work ticket.

How to Create a Multi-Step Schedule

Note: Before you create a schedule, you must enable your production lines and set up your production line.

1) Settings > General > Production Line >  Schedules > Edit

2) Click "New Schedule"

3) Name the schedule and select a Multi-step production line

4) Select tasks then assign a day the task is due. Assigned Day "0" is the day that a case is received or entered by the lab.

i.e. If you got a case on Monday:

Monday = Day 0

Tuesday = Day 1

Wednesday = Day 2

Etc...

5) Click "Create"

6) After creating a schedule you can link items from your product catalog to the new schedule
